Carbon Fiber could be the next generation iPad housing.

We wanted a 7-inch iPad, but if it will be lighter than before then that is a kick-a** on all major tablet competitions. And this report hints that Apple is prepping for a much lighter, flexible and durable material to house their mobile devices (that's carbon-fiber), this put the next generation iPad a number one candidate.
